You can also set your own threshold which is great if you have any issues with bleed in your drum mic and you also have EQ, compression and options to layer several drums at once. A unique feature of Drumagog 5 is the use of its Auto-Align feature which adds complete phase coherence across your drum tracks which can be an issue when aligning based on initial transients alone.

The Auto-Align algorithm phase-aligns with overall sound in mind, rather than just transient matching. Drumagog also allows you to change and automate pitch, level, articulation, and other parameters and the Stealth mode allows original audio to pass through until it reaches a designated level, meaning only the louder hits trigger the sample.

Trigger 2. The plug-in gives you access to 46 snares, 33 kick drums and 8 sets of toms making it easy to find the perfect sound. This allows the software to ignore the spill, meaning even at very low velocities you can still accurately replicate your drum hits without the spill causing a mis-trigger.

Superior Drummer 3 from Toontrack contains over gb of unprocessed samples, approximately electronic drum machine sounds and the ability to import your own samples. The software also includes a built-in MIDI grid editor making it great for bedroom or home producers. Each sound was recorded at Galaxy Studios in Belgium which enabled the team to capture quality and immersive audio in the square meter drum room there.

With only 14dBa of noise in the studios, the main hall at Galaxy claims to be the quietest of its kind in the world. Not only that but each sample was recorded by award-winning engineer George Massenburg so you can be assured each one will be of the highest quality.

With an easy to use interface, Superior Drummer 3 is a great choice for those audiophiles looking for easy access to the highest quality samples for drum replacement. The Learn function will allow you to detect individual drum hits and automatically set the remaining drum hits in line with the one it has already learned.

The one downside — this is a plugin for Pro Tools only, however if you are a Pro Tools user this is well worth investing in. Post by mixer05 » Tue Apr 10, pm. Post by musikos » Tue May 08, pm. Drumagog 5 and Pro Tools 10 Post by Matt W » Mon Oct 24, pm With the recent announcement of the new Pro Tools 10, here's some preliminary info on compatibility: We haven't added Pro Tools 10 yet as officially supported, as we are still doing testing here in the office and following-up on some issues reported by PT beta users and some early adopters mostly concerning PT10 under OSX Snow Leopard and Windows reports have been OK.

If we need to we will release a free update to Drumagog 5 to insure Pro Tools 10 compatibility. They just released the SDK to developers, so we've only started taking a look at what would be involved, and that would be re-writing D5 in AAX format.

This is certainly possible, but as we already have some projects in the works development of a new plugin format will need to wait a little while. In the meantime, though, we'll be supporting the current RTAS format.

I'm in a session where I'd like to export all the files we tracked for somebody on a different DAW. To be able to audiosuite and print the gog'd files would be SO amazing. Just "copy" your settings in ProTools, then paste them in Audiosuite and ready to export. So much faster than bussing it out and into a new channel and recording all three takes in realtime one at a time However, we certainly appreciate your comment and will take it into consideration. It's possible that ProTools 10 will make it easier to add this support, but we don't have any current plans to implement it.

Best, Chris WaveMachine Labs. Re: Drumagog 5 and Pro Tools 10 Post by thebarn » Tue Nov 08, pm That's what makes some of the noise reduction plug-ins so amazing though. They are also intended for real-time, but let's say you have a long voiceover file, with Izotope RX, you can use the RTAS plug, get your noise reduction accurate, then "print" the noise reduction onto the audio file and then make the RTAS plug-in inactive which has mulitiple benefits.

I understand what you're saying and I fully agree. I just downloaded the Demo of Drumagog 5 64bit for testing a bit and installed it where it wanted to go. First when I opened Studio One, Drumagog wasn't showing at all. So please do check if you have the location of the Drumagog put in Studio one aswell - Just to be sure I used the DEMO for testing - it could very well be that the full version works different.

FinalSaga, just to be clear, you're talking about the drumagog5. Hey again Harry I don't have the full version so I downloaded the Demo of it to try. Installed it all where it wanted to go, no paths changed.

Good Gravy it's finally working Anytime buddy Glad you got it working Now git crackin' at them drums Ch33rs Saga.
